Jaxx Carthy of Waterloo 18U Tier 1 has had an outstanding 2025 season, establishing himself as the team’s ace. Over 53 innings pitched, he posted a 7-1 record with 63 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.321, dominating opposing hitters with poise and precision. Jaxx’s leadership, consistency, and competitive drive, combined with his all-around skills, make him a true cornerstone of the team and a deserving recipient.

Heath Esselment of Waterloo 16U had a dominant 2024 season, solidifying himself as the ace of a strong pitching rotation. Over 49 innings, he recorded a 6-2 record, 64 strikeouts, a 1.571 ERA, 1.367 WHIP, and held opponents to a .214 batting average. Heath consistently excelled in high-pressure situations, demonstrating maturity, skill, and leadership. His performance earned him WMBA’s Senior Pitcher Award and selection to the ICBA All-Star team, making him a standout and deserving recipient of

An effective and reliable pitcher for the Waterloo Tigers. He has contributed in 7 wins for the Tigers (4 wins + 2 saves) in 14 games that he pitched. Allowing only 4 earned runs in the regular season, his ERA is 0.81. His K to walk ratio is 1.85, holding opponents BA to a low 0.155. His whip was 1.164. A cool and level guy on the mound, Ethan is all business. Nothing disturbs his internal peace. He was a quiet leader for the Waterloo Tigers.

Preston was the team's ace but also contributed at the plate and in the field. He finished the year with 131 strikeouts over 71 innings. Preston finished the season 12-3-0 as a starter, with a 2.55 ERA. Coaches in the 16U league this past year said on numerous occasions that Preston was the top pitcher in the league and one of the best they have ever faced.Preston is a pleasure to coach and continues to learn more and more about this great game.
