At just 16 years old, Level 2 umpire Tyson Menard has had an outstanding 2025 season, officiating 42 rep games across multiple divisions from 8U to 14U and Select. Trusted in high-stakes games including semi-finals and championship matches, Tyson has quickly adapted to higher levels of play. Known for his eagerness to learn, composure, and reliability, he has earned the respect of fellow umpires and is Brantford’s 2025 Junior Umpire of the Year.

At just 12 years old, Zoe Morrison has already made a remarkable impression in her first year of umpiring. Punctual, enthusiastic, and eager to learn, she demonstrated excellent positioning, mechanics, and people skills, impressing even senior umpires with her maturity and confidence. Her dedication, attention to detail, and natural ability make her an outstanding young official and a well-deserved recipient of the 2024 Junior Umpire of the Year Award.

As a 2nd year umpire Will's development over the 2023 season grew in leaps and bounds. Will's season started off in Rec League but wasn’t long before he was assigned Rep games. In total Will umpired 86 games this season and by the end of the year he had worked his way up to be behind the plate for the 12U T2 ICBA Championship game and on Labour Day Will was given the plate assignment for the 11U AA OBAs, quite an accomplishment for a 2nd year umpire.

Quinn has just completed his second season with CMBA, and is a Level 1.2 OBA carded umpire. CMBA received consistent feedback all season from coaches and other umpires about Quinn. Working with Quinn has been a pleasure. He is sharp and bright and seems invested in the craft of umpiring. He takes direction well and listens. Quinn is a young umpire with an invested interest in learning the game, one who was going to take what he had learned and apply it.
