Past Season's Recipient

Volunteer

Cathy Lapar

Kitchener

Cathy was the mastermind behind KMBA's challenger baseball program. Her warm approach to the players, the families and the buddies was what drove the program to success. Cathy’s extra care working with various community partners to set up the program as well as ensuring the proper training occurred led to a wonderful inaugural season. She worked with Panthers, Tigers and BearCats teams to support the program with fundraising and volunteer efforts. We cannot put into words the amount of work it took to get this amazing program off the ground. I am confident that Cathy changed lives this summer, and that she would welcome the opportunity to discuss with other ICBA centres the program and the benefits to the community.
