Previous Season's Recipient

Jr Pitcher

Denver Burton

Woodstock 12U Tier 1

Denver had an amazing season, winning every game he started and helping out with many more saves. He reached 100 strikeouts in 50 innings pitched and I fully believe that he was on track to reach 200 strikes out if we went further in the playoffs and at OBAs. ICBA featured him as the only junior pitcher to achieve 100 strikeouts.  When Denver goes on that mound, he owns it. He throws ~70mph for a 12yr old on 13u and is accurate and can paint any corner. At home and on the field he gives 100% to his craft and practices every day at home and works hard. He also throws a mean curveball.
